This Load-Bearing Student Chair Backrest is injection-molded from glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene. The ribs run diagonally across the back—that's what handles the weight when a kid leans hard into it. No cracking, no flexing too far. The outer shell is smooth, but the inner structure has extra material around the mounting points where stress builds up over time.
The top edge hooks forward slightly. It gives you something to grab when you pull the chair out from a desk. The bottom has two reinforced slots that bolt onto most standard student chair frames.
