This Perforated Leisure Chair Backrest is injection-molded from a flexible polypropylene blend with a grid of small holes punched straight through. The holes serve two purposes: air moves through so your back doesn't get sweaty, and water drains right out if the chair gets left in the rain. No pooling, no mildew smell. The material has a little flex to it—it gives when you lean back hard, but doesn't stay bent.
The outer rim is solid and thicker than the middle section, which keeps the whole thing from twisting. The back has a slight barrel curve that wraps around your shoulder blades instead of poking into them. The mounting points are reinforced with extra plastic where the screws go in.
